Jose Maria College Foundation, Inc. proudly presents a lineup of eight (8 ) new courses for the academic year, driven by our unwavering commitment to meet the evolving needs of our community in Mindanao. With a strong focus on empowering our students and addressing the diverse interests and career aspirations of our local youth, these thoughtfully crafted additions are designed to bridge the gap between education and industry demands.
In recognition of the varied industries shaping the region, the new degree programs span across healthcare, science, technology, arts, and education. Each course has been meticulously chosen in our desire to equip our students with the necessary skills and knowledge for success in their chosen fields.
JMCFI is excited to open the following programs on the first semester of AY 2023-2024 as approved by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED):
(1) The 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 program in Davao and Mindanao provides students with a deep understanding of biological sciences, leading to rewarding careers in research, teaching, and healthcare. Graduates can contribute to local research advancements, address healthcare needs, foster educational development, contribute to environmental conservation efforts, and create economic opportunities in industries such as pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and biotechnology. (2) The 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 program offers valuable employment and business opportunities for the community. (8 ) The 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗰𝘆 program opens up abundant employment and business opportunities for the Davao community. By blending theoretical knowledge with practical skills, this program equips students for various roles in the field of pharmacy. With a strong focus on pharmaceutical sciences, students are empowered to make meaningful contributions to the healthcare sector. Graduates can pursue careers as pharmacists, pharmaceutical researchers, drug safety specialists, or pharmaceutical sales representatives, playing a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. Additionally, they can establish their own pharmacies or pharmaceutical businesses, catering to the healthcare needs of the community and contributing to the local economy. Dr. Felix C. Chavez, Jr., the School President, believes that the opening of these courses will have a transformative impact on the lives of the Davao community and its young students. On the other hand, JMCFI Founding President Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy sees that these programs will not only enhance the personal growth and career prospects of our youth but also contribute to research advancements, improve healthcare services, stimulate economic development, and foster entrepreneurship which are among his primary advocacies.
